Human Society & It's Environment (HSIE) The HSIE Syllabus contains 4 strands:

Social Systems & Structures
Within these strands are various sub-strands such as significant people and events, identities, relationship with places and roles, rights & responsibilities. All of the outcomes need to be addressed by the end of the year in units either designed by the teacher or pre-made by the NSW Board of Studies.
